Over the last few months you have probably watched the news and have seen companies “fogging” streets and businesses with a disinfectant treatment.
At the start of the pandemic, we looked around the market to try and find a product that we could offer. However, because Covid-19 was a new virus, no disinfectant had been adequately tested. We always ensure that any product we use is of the highest standards of safety, so we didn’t jump in.
Over the past two decades we have been working in the fire and flood restoration sector and have had the experience of using foggers over that time. There are two types that we have used -thermal and wet fogging. These are used to apply various products such as deodoriser, sealants, sanitisation products and pesticides.
The process that is being used in the Covid-19 fight is wet fogging. Fogging is the process of applying an agent to the volume area and surface areas. It is particularly good at getting to the areas which cannot be reached easily and for treating the atmosphere.
In most cases, it proves very cost effective as it eliminates costly cleaning equipment and takes a fraction of the time. The fog releases very small particles of disinfectant that hang in the air and attach to and kill germs and viruses.

This product is safe to use on all surfaces as it is entirely non-staining, non-tainting and non-irritant.

- Also being water-based and biodegradable it is kind to the environment and Defra approved.
With many businesses preparing to return to work, we thought it would be a good service to offer in addition to our carpet and upholstery cleaning. Treating your workspaces with a disinfectant treatment will bring peace of mind to your staff and customers at a very worrying time when they return.
This can also be used in industries with high turn overs such as holiday lets, caravans, day boats, gyms and changing areas.
Don’t forget, we already include a disinfectant in our carpet and upholstery dry cleaning system so we have that sorted as well.
